Drawing inspiration from the Tboli leaf warbler—a rare species discovered in their ancestral land—Margaux turns performance into a powerful tool for conservation.

Blending drag, identity, and environmental activism, the film challenges traditional nature documentaries and invites audiences to see preservation through a more inclusive, joyful lens. Directed by Nikki Tan and part of the Nature Through a New Lens collaboration with Wildscreen, Madame Margaux proves that art can be a force for protecting both culture and the natural world.
